About the training:

Pamper yourself in luxury as we enter into the receptivity and acceptance of the practice of yin yoga. Yoga Academy International founder, Lauren Rudick and lead teacher Kezia Tatton will guide you as you dive more profoundly in to your yoga practice and teaching.

We want to give you a rejuvenating retreat-style experience interwoven with an upstanding yoga education. Upon completion eligible yoga teachers will receive a yin yoga teaching certification. The intensive yoga teacher training program will be woven in throughout the day and you will have ample opportunity to relax and enjoy the decadence of Morocco.

This training is also one of the elective modules of our advanced 500hr yoga teaching certification. In taking this training you will gain 60hrs toward your 500hr certification registered with the international yoga alliance.

7:00 – 8:30am morning yoga flow
8:30 – 9am meditation and mindfulness exercises
9 – 10:30am Breakfast break
10:30am – 1pm Yin Yoga Theory
1pm – 3:30pm Lunch Break
3:30pm – 6:00pm Workshops, discussion, practice teaching, mindful communication skills
6pm – 7:30pm Sunset & Dinner break
7:30pm – 9:00pm evening satsang (Q&A, philosophy chats, dance parties)

Curriculum

This yin yoga teacher training will touch on:

History and origins of yin yoga
Anatomy of yin and the mayofacial system
Chinese meridians
Where yin yoga and science meet
How to sequence yin yoga classes
How to create a safe space for yin
Moon cycles, lunar energy and yin yoga
How to effectively use props

Location

This teacher training includes your stay + 3 meals per day at Peacock Pavillions, a world-famous luxury retreat centre. Located just outside of Marrakech, Morocco, this spot is a safe and quiet haven. Our private spot is the perfect setting for you to totally relax and unwind! You’ll get to take in the tastes and design of Morocco in luxury and style and pamper yourself while getting a full yoga certification.

Every morning you can meditate on the cliffs of this dramatic coastline that gives way to the grounds of this olive grove! This place is serene and stunning.

GETTING HERE: Peacock Pavillions is located 30-minutes from the Marrakech airport. Fly in to Marrakech and we Peacock Pavillions will arrange your transfers to and from the airport.

Accreditation & Tuition

Yoga Academy International is a recognized and registered yoga school with Yoga Alliance. When you graduate our course you will be a certified yin yoga teacher. This course also counts as 60hrs toward Yoga Academy International’s 500hr YTT. On completion of 3 elective modules + our core module, you can register as RYT-500.

Tuition for this program is $2265USD.

Other useful information:

There will be 1 day off during the program where meals are not included. This is your opportunity to go into Marrakech and enjoy an authentic, Moroccan experience. We are happy to help you with restaurant recommendations and other activities for you to do. Marrakech is relatively inexpensive. You can expect to spend $2-$20 for a meal on your day off. Entrance to museums are around $5.
